Family Whittling Workshop

Begin practising whittling wood with special carving knives, as well as exploring pattern and decoration using pyrography, for children and an accompanying adult.

Plenty of advice will be provided so that you can continue this hobby safely at home together, using the correct tools.

A central open fire and large parachute canopy will keep you warm and dry while you whittle.

One ticket admits one adult and one child. Each child must be accompanied by an adult who will supervise them and work with them the entire time.

Location

This workshop is carried out at "The Clearing", an outdoor purpose-built creative space in Lesnes Abbey Woods.

Toilets are a 5 minute walk away at Lesnes Abbey Lodge.

What to bring

  • Boots or sturdy footwear to be worn - no open toed shoes - and weather appropriate clothing.

All protective equipment is supplied.

Whatever the weather, the workshop will proceed, except under high wind conditions or lightning.
