Not to mention the fascinating process of making charcoal in a fire! Don't worry if you're new to this – we'll guide you through every step, ensuring a safe and enriching experience.
You'll work with a variety of materials, all provided for you.
Immerse yourself in our magical outdoor learning space, The Clearing, nestled in the ancient woodland of Lesnes Abbey Woods in South East London. Embrace the transformative nature of this workshop as you learn new skills and techniques. And best of all, you'll leave with your own handmade creations to treasure. Remember to dress warmly for this outdoor adventure!
This is a beginner-friendly introduction workshop, you’ll get a knowledge and experience around open fires, plus take home some willow charcoal and char cloth.
Please wear weather appropriate clothing and bring snacks, a flask and something to share if you’d like to. We all love biscuits! We will have warm tea available.
This workshop is suitable for adults and children 8 years and older. An adult must accompany an attending child and pay for a separate ticket.
